THE WONDERING PONDERER

Posted on by jane

Though I do not do a lot of wandering, like in my old days, or is that in my younger days…

I can’t help but love the use of those words together…maybe it’s simply my mind wandering nowadays, and pondering is still one of my dearest considerations in life.

The months of 2018 have moved on quickly it seems and it was a very good year. I had many shows that I was involved with. Here is a list of what I had my work in:

Smith Vallee Art Gallery was my 2 person show in January

The Bird Invitational was at Smith Vallee during February

The 58th Society of Animal Artists saw my work at the James Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida

Madrona Sculpture Grove in Anacortes, Washington has my COMING HOME installed for this year and into 2019

Sketch For Survival showed my LION Drawing at the Gallery OXO in London, England

The Howard Mandville Gallery of Woodinville, Washington featured my work at their new location and featured me prior to their move from Kirkland in their Contemporary Show

The National Sculpture Society juried my piece into the Fellows Online Exhibition and I had my SPIRALING RELEASE bronze chosen to be in the 85th Annual Awards Exhibition held at Brookgreen Gardens, South Carolina

Western Visions at The National Wildlife Art Museum of Jackson, Wyoming featured 2 of my works in a painting and a bronze

The Loyalhanna Watershed Association in Ligonier, Pennsylvania selected MY LITTLE CHICKADEES bronze vessel for their famous auction held at the Rolling Rock Country Club

I was featured at the Scott Milo Gallery in Anacortes, Washington for a great month show in October

The National Sculptor’s , of Loveland, Colorado, installed my OF GRACE bronze on a marvelous stone pedestal in the city of Little Rock, Arkansas

The city of Galveston, Texas, purchased and installed my 4 foot sea turtle, RETURN TO ANCIENT WISDOM, in their sea-side-park, where sea turtles come to lay and hatch their eggs

The Stafford Gallery in Healdsburg, California will host my one person show in December, a month from this wandering writing!

YES, it has been a busy year!!!

In the studio this year, I did a lot of painting and created several new sculptures, readying for the show with Scott Milo Gallery, my local ‘in town’ art gallery where I have shown work for their almost 25 years of being a gallery! 2019 will be the 25th Anniversary for Kathy Khile to own and personally operate this fine art gallery.

I cannot let this pondering go on without mentioning the work done on my book THE CAT & THE CORACLE- Flynn’s Return To the Goddess Divine. The verbiage is nearly finished being edited and I have the 24 colored illustrations and the 15 black & white drawings done, photographed, and ready for a publisher! Do you know any publishers? I need one!
